One thing I learnt over time, great ideas are just a part of the story. There is a critical bridge between ideas and thier acceptance. This is even after you assume capabilities to implement the idea. This disconnect is MARKETING.
MARKETING is either a knack, skill or is about money. During my MBA days, i never used to pay much attention to marketing and now I am trying my level best to figure out the secret of low cost marketing.

You hit the nail on its head- you need a viral marketing idea, or as they say, a link bait. And the best part is, you wont need any external resources for that. 50k is too big an amount. Assuming the designer you have is inhouse, and you have some good technical expertize too, it will be easy for you to create a perfect link bait.
Now, what kind of link baits do you create? Well, you will be the right person to answer this, as you will know what kind of buzz are you trying to create.
